I watched the Fox video last night, it was kinda neat. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's a documentary detailing how many people don't believe we could/did ever go to the moon. There are like 10 or so points that the documentary cites as evidence. I can't find a link on the internet, but if anyone wants the file, I'd be happy to email it.

The video is fairly convincing, but then again, so are Michael Moore's movies. I just kinda wondered what other people thought. Below is a link that refutes each major point of the movie, just to offer a counterpoint. I personally don't know what to believe.

My younger brother is a rather intelligent guy, but he's one crazy conspiracy theorist and does not believe that we actually landed on the moon. And he'll go on and on about all of the reasons why it is impossible.

I'm not sure what I believe, I know the show did kind of make me wonder. My big question is, if we did this in the 60's, why have we not made a repeat trip to the moon after 50 years of technological advances?

There's a laser reflector on the moon. That's kind of hard to fake.

I think that's the same one I saw a few years back. I thought it was neat how they showed the stuff about the shadows being wrong or something...it did put some doubt in my mind, but I'm still fairly sure we went to the moon.

Godfuckingdamnit do we have to have this thread every 4 weeks?! The moon landings could arguably be mankind's greatest achievement, a feat that required billions of dollars and millions of man-hours. Why haven't we gone back? Because it's a dead rock in the sky and it costs billions to get there. For that matter, it was a pretty pointless exercise in the first place, and the US was the only country with the wealth and balls to try.

Anyway, go to that site I linked, and read any one of the hundreds of 1000 page reports or view the thousands of hours of completely mundane audio and video recordings, and then we'll talk about what's fake.

Can you trust the government? Of course not. Hell I laugh at every word that comes out of Scott McLellan's filthy douchebag of a mouth. But in this case there is a huge amount of evidence that supports it, and there are a hell of a lot of people still alive that worked way too damned hard to be denied by some dumbass fox documentary.

conspiracy theories relating to this are just retarded. honestly you can manipulate video and photos to create conspiracies about pretty much anything.

move along please, we dont need a new thread about this every month

well it wasnt really pointless in the sense of national pride that the US should win the space race against the enemy Soviet Union at the time.

we collected many rock samples and did some great research about the origin of the moon/earth/etc.

Yes, you're absoutely right. Trusting everything you hear or read simply because you've been told it actually happened is definitely the right thing to do.

I'm not saying we did or we didn't land on the moon, but I am certainly not naive enough to totally dispell the notion that it might perhaps be possible that the entire thing was a hoax.

we're not saying that we are accepting it just because we were told it happened. we're saying this topic has been beat into the ground before, specifically on this message board, with lots of stuff discussed.

im also tired of conspiracies like this

looking at something objectively is not the same thing as buying into retarded conspiracy theories.

i had a debate with my roomies about this one time... boy they are stupid... all they like to alk about is how the flag had waves in it... goes to show that they have not actually investigated this, or know enough basic physics to argue against this.

chill.
if you dont want to read about it, then dont read it.
its pretty simple if you're not a simpleton.
its like touching the hot stove and yelling to others about how hot it is. dont touch it to begin with because you're just burning yourselves.
