i switched majors, but i was hoping it would still give me access...oh well
3/2/2006 5:26:51 PM
i got my account set up and everything, but when i tried to download windows it wouldnt connect. the "possible reasons" it gave for this was "no connection". anyone else have problems downloading from here?

You'll need to contact the IT folks in your department (i.e. submit a help ticket through the MSDNAA system) if you are having issues with downloading stuff.

its broken right now, i get the same errors trying to download mssql for x64. i sent them an email myself, but no reply yet.
4/3/2006 1:18:59 PM
^yeah i sent an email as well. i'm thinking we should just call, that tends to get quicker response. is there a number for IT?

You might be a CSC major, but are you taking any CSC classes right now? If not, you won't have access.
4/3/2006 1:27:16 PM
yeah i know, i called and got that taken care of. i have access now, and can log in and tell it what i want, but i can't download it. it sounds like im not the only one with this problem.
4/3/2006 1:46:05 PM
yeah, i can log in but can get the download feature to acutally work.
4/3/2006 3:51:31 PM
what's up with that?damn
4/3/2006 3:52:54 PM
yeah im trying to download regular xp pro now and the same shit is happening. it does give me a serial number though, so technically i could install the OS from someone else's CD and just use the serial they gave me on the site right?if so, does anyone have win xp x64 or win xp pro sp2 i can borrow?

The move to EBII has backlogged quite a few things ... MSDNAA is probably the least of their worries. Unless a faculty member needs something specific for one of their classes ... probably not that high on the priority list.
