Sams Club is super cheap!

but you have to have a membership and your perscription with you. (or know the # of your eye doc so they can get it.)

BJs and Dr Croom (by the belltower) carry them, but they have to order. The guy I spoke with at Dr. Croom's office said that they do have trials, though.

speaking of contacts, I have a question about mine - I haven't been able to find them except from a company called SunSoft or something in the like at least (havent bought any in a year though) - why would only one company make them?

is this just because my astigmatism is so screwed or the place I bought them from wanted to be a dick (its $360 a pair)

well that was the price 4 years ago because i ended up wearing them for 2-3 years since they were so expensive, im not sure if they are cheaper now, but the doctor i went to was even floored by the price when he ordered them

and yeah im almost blind..

Yes, toric lenses are for an astigmatism. Anything beyond a -1.75 cyl must be special ordered and most often are cutom made lenses that are designed to last about a year, that's why they're more expensive.

The deal is, my eye doctor is back home near Charlotte. I've had these trials going on 4 weeks now and I would haven't guessed that places in the area wouldn't be carrying them yet or I would have for sure ordered these a while ago. I needed them today because I'm leaving on a jet plane tomorrow at noon.

Oh well, I'll stretch these another week and take some older Acuvue 2s for backup.

I think they advertised Oasis (might be spelling it wrong) during the Super Bowl. They are just designed to get more oxygen to your eyes. I used to could wear a pair of basic Accuvues and sleep in them for a week, take them out for a night and wear them another week and trash them. Then I had 2 Accutane treatments and since then if I fall asleep for 30 minutes in anything but a brand new pair I wake up with burning ultra dry painful eyes and a lot of times towards the end of the day my vision is a little hazy, usually clearing up for a brief moment when my eyes water. The Oasis seem to a help a ton in keeping my eyes fresh and clear. When I first put them in I could barely feel they were in and my eyes are less fatigued at the end of the day.

I think they're spelled Oasys because I rememeber thinking that sounded dumb.

They sound like good lenses though. I'm really in need of something that I won't have trouble falling asleep in.
