LETS GET IT ON
3/1/2006 1:20:11 PM
Didn't I do this thread already??Guess not..Anyway, I won Monster seats in May..
3/1/2006 1:21:04 PM
so when johnny damon comes into town are they gonna shoot him or lynch him?
3/1/2006 1:21:26 PM
one can hope that happens
3/1/2006 1:29:10 PM
curt is looking a lot better
3/1/2006 1:47:17 PM
Hopefully Foulke will look better toois that Wakefield beside him, cause at first I thought it was Alan Embree.
3/1/2006 3:55:11 PM
So, uh did the Sox take a class in how to be batshit crazy this offseason. You have Beckett trying to fight 7'3" 590 pound Ryan Howard yesterday and now Julian Tavarez brawling with everything in sight (at least no telephones got in the way this time).. jesus. save some for the Yanks guys...** right thread this time.
3/27/2006 10:42:16 PM
GREAT!
3/27/2006 10:51:41 PM
nice group of IFs you guys got thereAHA
3/27/2006 11:01:02 PM
better than your crummy Tigers
3/28/2006 1:08:39 PM
2 brawls in 2 daysred sox lottery ticketswtf
3/28/2006 8:12:06 PM
i'd take the tigers IF over the Red Sox IFseriouslychris shelton is a masherplacido polanco is pretty damn goodBrandon inge isnt badCarlos Guillen is good when healthysounds a lot better than Youkilis, Loretta, Cora and Mike Lowell
3/28/2006 8:26:55 PM
I will give you Shelton, Brandon Inge and Polanco are both Inconsistent and you said yourself Carlos Guillen is injury prone. Youkilis was good in limited action last year and the year before that. Graffinino is good. Loretta well have to adjust to AL pitching. Lowell brings good power to the bottom of the order. Cora is an X-Factor because he can play so many positions.
3/28/2006 8:42:15 PM
Graffanino is a Royal.. claimed off waivers today..What's the deal with papelbon? Is he gonna be a starter this year or not? I really hope he is.. I think he is wasted in the pen** also I wonder if Lester is gonna get called up later this year.. he should be in AAA by the break.[Edited on March 28, 2006 at 8:56 PM. Reason : f]
3/28/2006 8:50:43 PM
shit i just saw that. I think Papelbon has potential to be a 5th starter
3/28/2006 8:57:11 PM
polanco is not inconsistentwtf are you talking aboutand anyone that knows anything about baseball minus the bias would recognize, while still not stellar, the tigers have a better IF than the sox[Edited on March 28, 2006 at 9:09 PM. Reason : .]
3/28/2006 9:01:44 PM
First half 2005 Inge was pretty damn good. Second half 2005 Inge was about as bad as they come...The Sox will have MUCH better OF and DH (of course) production.
3/28/2006 9:12:46 PM
don't forget pitching
3/28/2006 9:21:49 PM
i never said thatbigpapa was the one that said their IF was better than the "crappy tigers' IF"the tigers' staff is going to be one of the best in the years to come with Bonderman, Verlander, Zumaya, etc
3/28/2006 9:26:01 PM
I bet Zumaya isn't a starter... he is going to close. But yeah, Verlander is gonna be nasty and probably even this year.Though I think the Tribe is going to have the best young staff in baseball. They have young talent like crazy both in the bigs and in their system..
3/28/2006 9:34:27 PM
yea i was just talking about young pitchingthe Pirates have a ridiculous amount of young pitching as well
3/28/2006 9:39:37 PM
btwwtf is going on with the mets not giving heilman the 5th rotation spot, it's fucking ridiculous
3/28/2006 9:40:34 PM
Hopefully the job for me in Boston pans out. I was up there last week and had a nice view of Fenway from my hotel room when it was lit up at night. It would be nice to catch more than one or two games every few years.
3/28/2006 11:16:20 PM
Papelbon is going to end up being the closer....Foulke is not in full form
3/29/2006 1:34:35 AM
ive heard that foulke is doing well and papelbon will be a spot starter for now
3/29/2006 1:46:16 AM
Yeah Foulke has looked good and they still have Timlin. Its a long season Papelbon is a spot starter and a long reliever. Foulke and Timlin will share closing duties
3/29/2006 10:06:48 AM
Gammons said...FOulke is still not 100%, they want to keep timlin as the set up man and papelbon doesnt have enough pitches to be a full time starter, he is working on his change-up but its not their yet...so to look for him to maybe start closing if Foulke starts out shakey
3/29/2006 6:06:24 PM
I thought the RedSox signed Alex Gonzalez after they traded Renteria. Wouldnt he be a better option in the infield over Cora?
3/29/2006 6:09:13 PM
hitting wise no
3/29/2006 6:55:19 PM
I was thinking defensively. I would think they would have enough hitting, if Coco Crisp steps up like i think he will, but Alex would be a big upgrade defensively and give them what they didnt have last year with all the errors Renteria made
3/29/2006 6:58:21 PM
fuck boston
3/29/2006 7:02:38 PM
Mickey Hall got some playin time for the Red Sox today. Some of you may know Mickey. He's a kid who is from Raleigh, played little league ball at West Raleigh and played his first two or three high school seasons at Athens Drive. He graduated in 2003 from a school down in Georgia. He was a good buddy of mine growin up and as I was watchin the Sox game today (not even thinkin about Mickey bein in their organization) I saw him enter the game as a pinch runner. He played RF the 8th and 9th inning and doubled up a runner to end the 8th. Very cool.
3/29/2006 8:13:52 PM
Good start today.
4/3/2006 10:08:02 PM
Schilling looked good
4/3/2006 11:02:22 PM
Daniel Cabrera currently has a 36. ERA thanks to SIX walks in the first inning
4/7/2006 7:36:38 PM
they couldn't even come out with an orginal name.........fuck the red sox
4/7/2006 7:38:58 PM
one word:YANKEES!!![Edited on April 7, 2006 at 7:43 PM. Reason : ok]
4/7/2006 7:42:46 PM
God damn, why is it my post about a specific game that brings out all the complete morons?
4/7/2006 7:45:24 PM
No word word can define the Red SOx season, YankeesThe Yankess will dominate Boston once again this year! So you are the damn moron homie![Edited on April 7, 2006 at 7:47 PM. Reason : ok]
4/7/2006 7:47:07 PM
Thanks for proving my point beyond a shadow of a doubt.I had Coco Crisp in the Beat The Streak game tonight, glad he got a hit for me in his first at bat. One of the few players that didn't get a walk in the 1st
4/7/2006 7:54:42 PM
ok... at the end of the season my point will be proven and once again BOSTON will be cryin b/c they will once again be sitting at home watching the yankees in the postseason!!
4/7/2006 7:58:54 PM
haha.. i'm gonna predict the red sox and the orioles (if cabrera gets better during the season) will outplay the yankees this year..
4/7/2006 8:02:53 PM
4/7/2006 9:04:15 PM
26 World Series Championshipsvs.6 World Series ChampionshipsENOUGH SAID!!!Dont compare the Sox to the Yanks, spare yourself!
4/7/2006 9:08:39 PM
11-0 in the 6th. Clement is looking impressive so far. So is basically the entire offense, but I don't know if I should credit that to Boston or the Orioles pitching
4/7/2006 9:16:37 PM
Had Frazee not sold the Bambino to those scumbag Yanks who knows what would have happened but go ahead and bring up the 26 World Championships, because as long as you have Choke-Rod you will never win a World Series
4/7/2006 9:28:48 PM
blah blah blahschilling is a fag
4/7/2006 10:08:36 PM
choke-rod how originalYOUR A FAG!!!
4/7/2006 10:40:42 PM
2-1 Win tonight Schilling is 2-0 after another strong outing with the only blemish being a Matos solo shot. Papelbon with save number 2
4/8/2006 9:26:26 PM
Fuck the Yankees and The Red Sox you Bandwagon Bastards
4/9/2006 2:49:28 PM
