i really don't think sothe owner wasn't around and it was a free show... this thing could win awards if it was @ a real show.the work is nice....

Now that shit is HOT

could use a less shitty intake setup. why not just put k&n's right onto the plenum with those big vents there
2/28/2006 5:40:51 PM
^that's the fashion they came in stock. that car isn't original, but it looks like they wanted to keep the basic stock theme with some subtle changes.

^ gotcha, I'm not all that familiar with old american stuff. good to know I guess

those cars were pretty nuts. they were the equivalent of todays economy cars, but crammed full of rowdy big blocks. aluminum body panels were used extensively also to make them even lighter (hoods, fenders, bumpers, etc.)
2/28/2006 5:56:31 PM
curb weight?
2/28/2006 7:57:50 PM
IIRC, somewhere a little north of 3200. the nhra had a minimum weight of 3200 at the time.

I JUST SPUNKED ALL OVER MYSELF

Ok.... that i talked to holman & moody.... (assisted in the makeing of this ride)the front fenders, hood, and bumper are aluminum the trunk, floorpan and rear bumper also are.the door panels and rear fenders are acid dipped as well as the roof.this car is NOT ORIGINAL but it is as close as you can get.the motor is fuel injected and has custom cams in it.the sohc cars had more aluminum in the body than the rest because of the weight of the motor.i mean the f.e. motors are pigs to start with...yet... he put the chrome stripe back on?[Edited on February 28, 2006 at 9:45 PM. the stripe may have been thinned and re finished ala Smokey.

very clean setup, looks like it was made for an aircraft.

most of the work was done my holman moody...that engine is worth 35k before they rebuild it (says lee moody) so he's probably got 45-50k in that engine alone

Yeah, an original 427 cammer is going to be crazy expensive to start with...
