i bleached my boots yesterday the bottom part (where the bleach marks are) is synthetic. its a "Newbrier" suede like material. is there some kind of suede shoe polish out there, or does anyone know if a shoe repair store might be the best bet for this?

I completely wear out a pair of boots every 2 months, sometimes sooner. Mortar mix eats the leather, shoestrings, etc and oil/muriatic acid/gasoline eats the soles. That's of course assuming I don't break the metal in the soles like I have in my last two pairs of boots(one broke jumping from a scaffold, the other broke kickstarting a dirtbike)Interestingly, I wear out a pair of cotton jersey gloves in less than 1 day, and a pair of leather gloves in about 3 days, depending on whether I handle primarily brick or block. In regards to your question, I would just rough those suckers up with a wire brush and you'll never notice it, or just rub bleach on the rest of it to match.[Edited on February 28, 2006 at 6:10 PM.
