I'd imagine many of them don't approve of the handling of Iraq, but don't want to publically criticize the president when it comes to waging war.Because then they'd be with the terrorists.
2/27/2006 11:06:51 PM
^yea, true.

I know one. His name is TGD.Uhm...does CBS's poll have a MOE? I'm not seeing one.In any case, it's not that much of an outlier. Gallup's still got him under 40%, and most polls have him hovering around that number. Talk about lame duck syndrome (or buyer's remorse, take your pick).
2/28/2006 12:15:08 AM
Massive Straight-line Alert.......I just can't understand why all the "polls are going down on Bush"
2/28/2006 1:02:10 AM
He never recovered from Katrina and there hasn't been a terrorist attack in the U.S.

2/28/2006 10:27:34 AM
2/28/2006 10:27:53 AM
so if they turned that number around, it would be like 45-50 % if the percentages were in favor of republicans...Thats BS...I approve of what is going on, but dissapprove of the BS media feeding shit to the public.

I used to be a big Bush supporter. But with this current issue of GIVING AWAY OUR PORTS I've fucking had it with Bush. I don't know what the fuck he's doing, but its pretty clear he doesn't give a shit about the well being of this country.

2/28/2006 4:58:38 PM
Ah ha! Thanks.BTW - Drudge is openly wondering why so many Dems were polled. IIRC, don't most polls include more Dems due to their portion of the public?
2/28/2006 5:03:05 PM
^yeah, but there's almost never a 10%+ Republican-Democrat gapaccording to the Pew Research Center, party identification is only about 3%ish in Democrat favor (30 Rep to 33 Dem to 37 Ind/other)
2/28/2006 5:12:43 PM
Ah. Then I was rightly suspicious of a poll that buried its MOE. Still, Gallup--who certainly didn't err that way--has him at 39%. Not a hell of a lot better.
2/28/2006 5:27:27 PM
Upon further review, the poll does reveal something pretty telling even though it was overweighted with Democrats. His approval ratings with Republicans tumbled a full 11 percent. Hard to blame that on the sample...
3/1/2006 1:29:31 AM
well if CBS says it, it must be true... afterall they have no history of making up false stories or exagerations to get Bush... Anyway, by now you'd think people would have learned that Bush isnot going to change just because the media is having another hissy-fit. If Bush was somebody that was pushed around by the current political hubris then we wouldn't ever have gone to Iraq. Where is the political gain in that? I don't see it, the only reason I can understand him standing by his decision is thathe honestly believes it is the correct course of action to insure the long-term security of the US. In short, Bush doesn't care about Polls because he's not running again.
3/1/2006 3:14:42 AM
It's the media that has a case of hubris?o rly?
3/1/2006 3:33:19 AM
