2/25/2006 5:54:01 PM

2/25/2006 7:42:39 PM
ok so I have done the basic googleWhat I am looking for is some of your uneducated opionions and if you know of some of the wall websites that discuss the fitand yes i am debating btwn the 2 cars because I would love to have another hatchback as I use mine alot I tried a toyota matrix, but that car SUCKS. I like honda's better than toyotas, and know all I need to know about the accords/civicsand I know the basics of the Fit, but its hard to find anything other than specsIm looking for reviews mostly

scion Xa, Xb, or tC.or just keep your hatchback. why do you want to replace it?
2/25/2006 8:21:25 PM
Screw the Scions, hate the way they fitMind you I am in a car 3-4hrs per daythe only reason we want to get a new car is cause the 92 civic is a manual, and for the traffic here a bit underpoweredthe car works fine, and when we get our car 9one9 is getting the car
2/25/2006 8:25:21 PM
so you've driven all 3 scions??they are hot sellers where we work. so are the corollas.or a camry.you dont need something brand spanking new just to be comfy. i hear you on the no power part of the hatch, i have one too, damn thing is perdy slow. buttttt i hardly ever have a time where im like.. god damn i need extra horsepower to merge. but then again i dont drive in rush hour or conjested traffic.it suited my fine for the past 2 years or so ive had it

2/25/2006 8:30:55 PM
Baonest,Yeah I have driven all 3 and I don't like themcamry/corolla's are nice, and I looked at used, but they seats do not support my back or wife's very wellWe live in DC area and are on I-95 everyday so some more power would be nice. plus having a manual up here =
2/25/2006 8:37:24 PM
found a good website http://www.myfit.org/
2/25/2006 8:49:41 PM
To me it seems like if you crossed the Fit and an accord, you would get a 4 door civic...why not look into that?BTW, I'd get a fit over the accord just b/c I think fits are cute
2/25/2006 10:04:01 PM
^ um noi like the hatchback thing....civic needs it back....as I do a lot of gardening I would use a hatch alotalso I buy antique furniture

Mazda 3 5-door?
2/25/2006 11:02:11 PM
I don't car for them all that much, and have test driven them too....plus the whole "how good are their transmissions" thing
2/26/2006 12:15:48 AM
What about a Yaris?or is it too small
2/26/2006 12:40:38 PM
Id just wait for the Mazda Urinecoming soon
2/26/2006 12:42:47 PM
2/26/2006 10:07:20 PM
YARIS:FIT:I guess the Fit is larger, but it looks a lot like the yaris (which I believe is also making it's US debut this year)
2/26/2006 10:51:57 PM
any idea when the yaris is coming out?april 20th is the date for the fit (at least officially)
2/27/2006 7:58:49 AM
Does the Fit have any more power than your current Civic? Says 1.5l / 109hp on the website. And its probably heavier than a 2 door hatch.
2/27/2006 8:38:30 AM
I think the plan was to release the Yaris as the new "echo" sometime this year to compete with the fit.I rode in a Vitz while I was in Australia (the Vitz is the JPN name for the Yaris) and it was a pretty fun car in stickshift...pretty roomie for a little car too[Edited on February 28, 2006 at 5:11 PM. REVO RLY?
2/28/2006 5:44:49 PM
my civic has 119 horsepower, but the fit should weigh a bit less than my civic
2/28/2006 8:05:06 PM
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yashio factory has a vitz (dont know if that other pinkie is a yashio factory car)[Edited on February 28, 2006 at 11:41 PM. Reason : (the vitz is down at the end)]
2/28/2006 11:41:03 PM
^^^ Weigh a bit less? Looks more narrow but longer to me. 2007 Fit 5 door hatch MT curb weight = 2432 lbs1992-95 Honda Civic Hatchback = 2108 lbs1992-95 Honda Civic Coupe = 2231 lbs1992-95 Honda Civic 4-door = 2213 lbsLooks like the Fit is heavier on all counts.

The Suzuki Aerio has 155 hp, and has an AWD option. It doesn't have the brand reputation that Honda has, but they are cheap and fairly reliable cars. Worth a look.

^^ I was refering to my 2004 civic lx with a curb weight of 2606lbs and a non v-tech engine[Edited on March 1, 2006 at 3:14 PM. Reason : ]
