I have a simple web server that I was running Red Hat 9 on. It got hacked and now I can't get it to boot up. It crashes during the boot process. I intend to reformat that thing but 1st I need to get some of the data off of it, like the code for the more import web pages I had on there. Any suggestions on how to do that? I was thinking I would plug that hard drive into another computer and treat it like a non-booting drive and try to pull the data off that way but I'm not sure if that'll work.

boot the machine with a bootable linux CD, and FTP the data off to another machine, that way you dont need another HD, just a remote machine to copy your files to
