A remake is a better idea than continuing from Jason X. Fuck that shit. The first movie wasn't all that great except for the ending anyway.
2/23/2006 11:28:48 PM
Fuck a remake. You want to start from scracth? Give us another Tommy Jarvis-type of thing, where one protagonist makes it through a few movies. Don't try to get into the origin of a guy when that origin can be covered in a 3 minute flashback. This is where people are getting horror movies wrong, especially this dickhead. In the Texas Chain Saw Massacre remake, he did the same thing, trying to explain the why. The why doesn't matter. Explaining the why takes away from the horror. The thing that was so haunting about the orginal TCM was that you didn't know why these people were that way.

If you're talking about Jason or his mother's motivations, the "why" has always been absolutely clear. A self-contained Friday remake would be better than designing it to continue endlessly. They can do that in a re-make. It's already established that that's impossible in the current series.
