The shackles i bought from tractor supply used pins. I want bolts. The highest grade they had was a grade 8, the bumper they are going on is attached to the frame using grade metric grade 10.9. How does a standard grade 8 compare to a metric 10.9? Are the 8s plenty strong for holding the shackle under heavy loading?[Edited on February 19, 2006 at 6:37 PM. 8.8 is grade 5, both correspond to same numbers on the rockwell scale, break out your intro to mse book
