It's before car expenses, but to be honest most nights I made more than $15 per hour, so I guess once you get good at the job you can make $15 per hour after car expenses and maybe more.Kinda depends on what you drive, ya know?[Edited on February 19, 2006 at 2:59 PM. Reason : PM responded]

why did i have to get the 6 cyl
2/19/2006 3:12:47 PM
You should still be fine. I've seen people drive gas guzzling land yachts and still make good money.
2/19/2006 3:40:24 PM
true, but 30 would be much better than 20
2/19/2006 4:00:06 PM
I forgot to mention that the scheduling is very flexible and the manager understands the needs of students and accomodates them. If you have tests, or a day when you can't work it won't be a problem.
2/19/2006 4:02:35 PM
And you might even get abducted by the deliveree!Seriously, is that $15 plus tips, plus gas money?
2/19/2006 4:29:12 PM
That's $15 average per hour for your wages, tips, and the mileage they pay you ($1 per order you deliver). It works out well considering the work isn't hard, especially when you're making $15 per hour and walking out with about $10 per hour worked.Plus you get a paycheck weekly which is nice for both drivers and in-store employees.
2/19/2006 4:32:58 PM
You also get 1/2 off on food anytime!

2/19/2006 7:55:46 PM
is there a gun allowancebecause I'd never deliver pizzas without a gunhell, I'd never deliver pizzas, but I'd probably do it if he bought a gun for me
2/19/2006 8:33:48 PM
you have to factor in vehicle maintenance expenses. its not just the gas. tires, clutches, transmissions, brakes etc cost money too
2/19/2006 8:38:35 PM
2/19/2006 8:43:15 PM
^^^ most places have a policy against carrying a firearm

Just depends on how unlucky you are and how good of a car you have. I have a 97 Saturn SL2 that's only needed the starter and water pump replaced, and I doubt the water pump had much to do with delivering and more to do with the fact that the car is nearing 100k.I know all about figuring up car expenses, and out of the three cars I have driven delivering pizzas, none of them have been so expensive I couldn't get them fixed and make the money back in a shift or two.I had about five serious inquiries yesterday and hope to have more today. Head down there and apply if it is employment you seek!
2/20/2006 11:29:15 AM
they deliverd me a pizza yesterday - was actually fast - don't be a pizza delivery man though - only idiots do it

I can't say I've ever seen you say anything positive about anything.

Meh, I pretty much decided to ignore your posts a long time ago. It's good to see you've mastered some positivity, but it's obvious from your post you still have a long way to go.This thread isn't going to be about you. This thread is about finding some people who want a job.[Edited on February 20, 2006 at 1:05 PM. Reason : ]

so are tips included in your $15/hour figure?
2/20/2006 1:05:08 PM
of course they are - how else could it "average around $15 per hour"
2/20/2006 1:06:14 PM
Yep, tips are included. You get to walk out with $10/hour average which is for the most part tax free.Only your wages and tips paid on credit cards get taxed which is nice, especially for college students.[Edited on February 20, 2006 at 1:29 PM. Reason : ]

2/21/2006 7:15:49 PM
I'd say just go with the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy, and you shouldn't have a problem.
2/21/2006 8:18:07 PM

i will if you buy me a car
2/22/2006 12:54:07 PM
You'd be surprised at how cheap you can come by a car for. That being said, I can't afford to buy you one. I bought an '87 Honda Civic for $1,600 and delivered in it for a few years. The car paid for itself like 20 times over through those years.

I can't say the job isn't dangerous, but it does pay well and the number of incidents we have at our store are low. We stay out of the bad parts of our delivery area.bellrabbit I am glad you are coming to apply. Our boss is very flexible with scheduling so your needs should be easily accomodated. We still need more help though, so anyone else interested please stop by and fill out an application.
