w/ Contanch. ....anyone been able to figure out #3? i talked to him after class and he was absolutely no help to me.... i want those 3 points dammit.

post the problem and someone might help you. Not that many people know what #3 is where as a lot of people know physics

well...the problem has a figure to look at. but basically it's a car driving down the road. from the front of the car there is one force heading to the left (450N) with an angle of 10 degrees, and another force heading to the right (400N) with an angle of 30 degrees. It asked for the resultant and magnitude, and then if the car has a mass of 2800 kg, what magnitude acceleration does it have? Ignore friction.


i talked to COTANCH, and he said that i found the resultant correctly, but .....webassign won't accept it...

Guys, the problem type is in the book examples in the chapter. Come on!

use sin, cos to get the x and y components of each of the forces, the add them together as appropriate.

and then for the second half, use F = ma, or... whatever the hell they changed it to in M&I.
