I've got 24 hours to do, figured I'd check and see if I can do it halfway interesting before the com. service office assigns me some whack shit. I know a lot of you have had to do this shit before, so any suggestions as to where/what I could do?

it just has to be for a non-profit, right?

i volunteer for 2nd Chance Pet Adoptions. We just feed animals and sit at adoptathons. Relaxed atmosphere. Nothing too difficult. Easy to rack up hours.

i did a ton of comm. serive at Bond Lake (Bond Park) in Cary. Sat at the boathouse, used the leaf blower, and "picked up trash" for a few hours a day. Not bad at all, plus there are some nice lookin ladies runnin around Bond Park in the mornings.

YMCA will you let you sit at the front desk

SPCA, but you have to take a 3 hour course that doesnt count toward your hours

my favorite was working for Lake Johnson, all i had to do was walk around the trails and pick up trash

the art museum on blue ridge road has easy com. service

helping horse therapeutic riding farm

MS society

i'm not looking up contact info unless you tell me you're definitely interested...i have lost touch with most of these folks, so i only have a slight advantage over you as far as finding phone numbers and such.

Call Cary or Raleigh Parks and Recreation and there are tons of things you could do there.

I volunteered at the Carnivore Preservation Trust (CPT). That was an amazing experience. You get to hang out with tigers and other big cats all day. Give them a call if that's something you think you'd be interested in.
