Maybe they are trying to see if Harrington performs better under pressure.

you people are moronslook who he had to work with last yearthe fucktard that is derek morris and companyhow many DL did he successfully turn into great OL? 3. Look at the other OL he coachedyou people are morons using 1 season with shitty players who have 0 coinfidence in their QB for measuring his performance
2/16/2006 9:34:05 PM
what does 0 confidence in the QB have to do with anything?
2/16/2006 9:39:59 PM
I guess they had 0 confidence in our running backs as well, eh?motion to ban BoobsR_gr8 from sports talk.[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 9:42 PM. Reason : asdf]

look at how well seattles O line and the colts O line played all year. your line performs better when they have more confidence that the QB will get it done[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 9:44 PM. Reason : .]
2/16/2006 9:43:48 PM
I thought this thread was talking about Barry Sanders.
2/16/2006 9:46:42 PM
its hard to have a good oline with the likes of derrick morris and mckeon playin. it doesnt matter what kind of coach you are if the players only care about themselves of course the line is gonna suck. Next year the line is gonna be better based soley on the fact that morris and mckeon are gone.on another note anyone notice the article on packpride stated he was only here 3 years and that he and his wife have a couple kids and 4 grand kids even though he just got remarried last summer. youd figure packpride would be alittle more informed than that.

Yeah I think its a loss. Chuck needs to recruit him better talent. He turned Sean Locklear from a DL to an NFL caliber OL. Started in the Super Bowl. But still something isn't right when one player (Morris) pushes his coach and is back in after just a few plays.

note that most false starts come on passing plays

Considering our RB's got hit in the backfield as they received a handoff I don't think you can say the OLine simply didn't have confidence in the QB... they were getting beat hardcore.
2/16/2006 10:40:14 PM
i was saying that in respect to the penaltiesand they also had to deal with like 9 in the box b/c our qbs suck[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 10:42 PM. Reason : /]

GOD DAMN of course they got beat, every team fucking stacked the box and rushed their asses off every damn play because they knew we couldnt pass for shit. luckily our running backs were talented enough to get past the initial blitz to gain some big yardage in a few games. if we had a confident qb who got the job done, everything would improve.^^^ yeah...the box thing didnt see that.[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 11:34 PM. Barry was a real good coach, he just had absolutely no talent to work with at all. our o-line is complete garbage
2/16/2006 11:43:44 PM
that's why he got fired by tennessee? Barry is old and outdated. I'm glad we got rid of him.
2/17/2006 12:47:34 AM
you can't use having zero confidence in the QB as an excuse, if anything it's the coach's job to get them to play hard despite having no confidence in the qb...but this is a hard loss, i hope they can replace him with someone good... but it's just one more slide down for next season

Losing football coaches doesn't even faze me anymore. It's like we're just a layover on the way to a better job.[Edited on February 17, 2006 at 8:32 AM. Reason : though it's debatable whether the Lions job is "better" in any sense other than money]
2/17/2006 8:31:09 AM
I wonder what goes on with our administration and team that so many coaches come for 1-2 years and leave...most of the time it is to better jobs, but our teams hardly show great improvement to prove how well the coach is. I am tired of seeing our coaches bounce every season... III&FH
