re is a better place for this than here, please move this topic, and don't delete it. Thanks. Here is the question - Is there a way to fix a punctured compressor coil in a refrigerator? I called myself doing a quick defrost with a hammer and a screw driver in a minifrig, and punched a hole in the damn coil. I have been told that it is now garbage, but I just wanted to ask around first.[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 4:39 PM. Reason : blah]

you could probably fix it, but even if the coil was repaired, it would probably cost you more to have it recharged by somebody with the right piece of paper and equipment than you could buy a new one for
