I am going to the financial aid office, but maybe someone already has been in this situation. I took 12 hrs last semester and am taking 12 this semester. I know it is not many, but I do work and stuff. Well, I am going to have to drop a 3 hr class shortly, and I need to know if I can take 3 hrs over the summer in order to achieve 24 for the year to keep all my financial aid happening for next year. Or does summer not count for that? Thanks

I don't know about your situation, but I can tell you that the people up there are very helpful... Just give them a call and they will help you out...

from fin. aid officer Nell Summerlin on a similar question...
Quote :
"However, you have to pass 24 hours this academic year in order to receive any kind of aid next year. You can take a class or classes this summer to bring you up to 24 hours."

Went to the office today and basically found out what was said here. As long as I get 24 over fall, spring and summer, I am good. Thanks again.

what about a part-time student applying for financial aid so they can go full-time? what are the rules for that?
