where is the best place for ammo?i looked online and looks to me like its the same price as walmart. when i got ammo for my sks, it was like 1000 rounds for $100. but walmart has like 25 rounds for like $20.100 rounds for the .45 is like $20.i checked aimsurplus only.

The best place by far for ammo is http://www.natchezss.com/Get the Blazer brass for around 160 for a 1000 230 gr Springfield 45's make me wet my panties, I cant believe im admitting this but ive considerd buying the XD45
2/12/2006 6:56:16 PM
^^ haha, be currrful nigga. ^thanks for the site. ill check it out.i believe SpeedFreak has the XD45. that was the gun of the year right? he wanted to sell it a while back. not sure what happen
2/12/2006 7:21:50 PM
XD45 came out pretty recently
2/12/2006 8:30:02 PM
is that XD 45 chambered in 45 acp or 45 gap?and what size does it come in
2/12/2006 8:43:55 PM
the V10 is a neat gun, but since they have a shorter slide and barrel they are kinda finicky. you will need to keep it clean and plan to replace the recoil spring on a regular basis to guarantee good cycling. some run well, some need a little tweaking. dont cheap out on extra mags, wilsons are great but I like Metalform mags as well. the 7.99 ones from the gunshow are a crapshoot, some are ok some suck. look here for more springfield stuff, there are a lot of v 10 shooters on there http://forums.1911forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

^^ thanks for the info. it comes with 2 mags. i believe both (or at least one) are factory mags. it came with another. its a silver one, says "colt" on the bottom. it fits perfect, but im going to stick with the factory mags.
2/12/2006 9:28:57 PM
genuine colt mags are good, but there are alot of fakes on the market. dont buy colt mags off ebay esp. from some motherfucker called xxreddogxx. his stuff is crap, he sells it as name brand but it dosent come in a name brand package. Kapp Ogburn at PDHSC in south raleigh can do any trouble shooting you might have and has alot of good parts in stock as well as mags. I hope you get one that runs well, the 1911 platform is a great gun to shoot.

2/15/2006 2:03:58 PM
25 rounds for $20... sounds like way too expensive of a hobby I like bb's. a couple bucks for hundreds
2/15/2006 2:07:50 PM
You know, 1911s really don't appeal to me that much.w/e
2/15/2006 3:39:24 PM
its 100 rounds for $20 actually.
2/15/2006 8:16:20 PM
Yeah, anything under like $1 a round is fine for your carry ammo. Practice ammo is, of course, much cheaper.
2/16/2006 8:48:28 AM
^ i hear that.i highly doubt ill ever be carrying my gun around with me. i mainly got it for some target shooting. it was a good deal so thats why my bro and i went in on it. i have 2 guns of my own for self defense *flexes muscles*. haha
