I've looked high and low for some answers in question 3. I looked in the course pack, I googled, I even e-mailed Dr. Gardner and received no help. Maybe somebody that knows genetics can help me out, or if you found the answers can you please tell me where you found them?

2) Why is it important to prevent bacterial growth in blood cell culture?
3c) Chemical that digests part of the protein on the chromosome
3d) Chemical that causes chromosomes to migrate off the equatorial plate (colchicine?)
3i) Solution that preserved WBC chromosomes
3j) Two components of the solution that preserved WBC chromosomes
3k) Two solutions that cause the lysis of red blood cells are Hypotonic KCl and _________?

Carnoy, is the answer to two of those questions, and its made up of ethyl alcohol and glacial acetic acid, which answers another question. That information is in the lab book as well, along with the other answers. Though I think 2 isn't, but atleast my TA mentioned it in class.

All of these answers were in the lecture your TA gave. Sometimes the answers aren't in the coursepack but in lecture. You actually have to take notes.

haha, i just realized this is the guy that's like "OMG I'M GOING TO GRAD SCHOOL AT AUBURNNNN!" in any thread even slightly related to grad school or school itself.

gg on the critical thinking and reading skills. you might want to learn those for grad school.

I found what you had said about Carnoy, I don't know how I missed that, thanks for your help.

^Regurgitating facts has nothing to do with critical thinking dumbass

Relevant to the lecture section? No, and it's not billed to be.

However, if you're in any major that requires GN 412, you're going to see those concepts again in classes and in your future schooling or job. This was probably the most relevant lab I have taken in my entire time at State.

no thinking required!

I'm an organismal biologist, none of this shit will be relevant to anything that I plan to do in grad school or in the future.

Turns out I had lost the one page of my lab manual that had like half the answers on it, that's why I was lost as all hell on the report.

Thanks to those that helped me out, I appreciate it.
