My husband and I have decided to buy new bedroom furniture with some of our tax return. We have found some very affordable brand new stuff (2 dressers, the mirror, and the backboard for the bed for $400). What we are having trouble with is the mattress. At this point, we don't really want to spend lots of $texas for the mattress, but we want to get a new one. So, where are some good places to shop for a variety of affordable mattresses? If the place sold bed frames it would also be helpful.
Thanks!

i think its called the original mattress factory...out on glenwood near fred anderson toyota. they are supposed to have good prices and good matresses. and i think that most places that sell matresses also sell frames. but i could be mistaken about that...but regardless you should check the place out.

There's a store in garner that sells mattress seconds. You know, the kind with fucked up seams or something nominal is wrong with it... I forget the name, but it's in the yellow pages.

Where ever you go, you should haggle on the price. Standard markup is 100% to 150%.

^^^ i didnt think their mattresses were as nice as the normal ones. i like the concept, but the quality didnt seem to be there. eg a $600 sealy seemed much nicer than an $800 OMF one

BIG LOTS!

If the one on Western doesn't sell furniture, I know the one in Rocky Mount does

I got a mattress from there and it's extremely comfortable. Brand name stuff at closeout prices
