How dare people criticize people for doing things they're against?!?!?!?!?!>@#M$RWKRm
2/10/2006 11:43:07 AM
so far i haven't heard any of the family members say it was in poor taste, and thats really the only thing that matters
2/10/2006 11:47:10 AM
its not that they were criticizing something they were against...its that they were doing at a funeral!!!and they were using an icon like Mrs. King as a freakin tool to take shots at the president. it was a disgusting dispay of arrogance and its things like this that the american people see and are so turned off by...and it keeps the democrates from winning anything. It goes against every common sense of decency that 90% of americans have. so as long as the dems keep this kinda crap up...they keep losing
2/10/2006 11:49:43 AM
yeahthe 2 minute ovation the comments got really show how the family and friends felt....
2/10/2006 11:53:15 AM
Do you have the inability to type "democrats"? It's not that hard. What do you expect of the preacher? George Bush represents a lot of the things Coretta Scott King was strongly against. She was a political being. Do you think she would have preferred to act like everything was fine?
2/10/2006 11:53:45 AM
friends and family arent the only people that matter here...she was more than thatand the simple truth is...the american people see the way that the DEMOCRATS (that better?)...act at these things and they are turned off...no one is waiting to see what the family thought....and no the preacher should not be taking shots at the president during the funeral...thats amazingly disrespectful and will cost libs in the elections
2/10/2006 11:58:31 AM
were the Kings NOT targets of illegal wiretaps?[Edited on February 10, 2006 at 11:59 AM. Reason : targets]
2/10/2006 11:58:51 AM
yes they were ....BY DEMOCRATSand i know you are going to say it doesnt matter who did them...but we all know thats not important to the media and the idiot preacher....it was just an opportunity to knock bush[Edited on February 10, 2006 at 12:01 PM. Reason : asdf]
2/10/2006 12:00:17 PM
you know, I don't think the cia has a political affiliation.that aside, i read a pretty obvious point yesterday. the kings, both of them, were very much against everything mr. bush stands for, and those who made these comments, I would say, know very much what mrs. king would have wanted said at her funeral. This whole "boo hoo, the evil democrats used her" are ignoring the fact that SHE expressed these same sentiments.go find another fucking target, because mrs. king would be so happy to have seen that shot of bush's face at her funeral.
2/10/2006 12:01:51 PM
2/10/2006 12:03:52 PM
I would say going to the funeral of a woman I had nothing to do with was classless.BUT THAT'S JUST ME.
2/10/2006 12:05:04 PM
yes...it is
2/10/2006 12:05:44 PM
I HATE THE DEMOCRATS AS MUCH AS I HATE THE REPUBLICANSBUT I GUESS IT'S MORE CONVENIENT FOR YOU TO FORGET THAT WHEN IT'S EXPEDIENT FOR YOUR ARGUMENTSI know I won't be able to prove it until clinton or someone is the next president, but trust me, I won't give up on her just 'cause she's a democrat. I don't give a FUCK. You fuck with my country, you fuck with me.
2/10/2006 12:06:22 PM
i thought you were against the whole concept of nation states? where'd this pride in your country come from?
2/10/2006 12:33:00 PM
i live here, so when people fuck with the place where I live, I don't like that. it affects me and those i loveIf someone was trying ot enact tyrannical laws on my neighborhood, it would be the same. they're just arbitrary lines, drawn by those who conquered the area, but I happen to live within the arbitrary lines of the us, where some people are trying to seriously dick me over
2/10/2006 12:37:19 PM
"Mrs. King cared about black people . . . unlike a certain President!!"
2/10/2006 12:38:01 PM
haha....DG....your self-righteousness is funnywhy dont you offer something constructive instead of just hating everyone all the time
2/10/2006 1:04:17 PM
i think trikk is a trollanyway, my self righteousness?
2/10/2006 1:21:38 PM
We ain't no half-steppin!
2/10/2006 1:30:53 PM
wheres the outrage from the family? ...oh wait
2/10/2006 1:35:04 PM
Look.I don't like Bush as much as the next guy but openly critizing the President at the funeral of a very very prominent civil rights leader is crass.
2/10/2006 1:37:34 PM
sure you do DG...and i never claimed to be anything...you are the one acting "above the fray" troll
2/10/2006 1:37:50 PM
2/10/2006 1:54:10 PM
2/10/2006 2:06:31 PM
he was invited...keep up man
2/10/2006 2:11:34 PM
^that was my pointthis isn't your average funeralyou can't be like "OMG WHY WOULD ANYONE BRING UP POLICY AT A FUNERAL"why would you have almost every ex-president speak at a funeral?[Edited on February 10, 2006 at 2:22 PM. Reason : did ford speak? i didn't even watch]
2/10/2006 2:21:17 PM
well you might have them there in order to show respect for someone...and a president might go in order to show respect....im just sayin...i think the reason bush went was to show respect to this woman...at least everyone else should do the same
2/10/2006 2:32:27 PM
^ This WASN'T disrespectful to Coretta, and it WON'T be considered disrespectful to her, until her family/friends there complain about it.However, it was a bit underhanded to invite the president to a funeral you know he wouldn't turn down, only to bash him once he got there. On the other hand, it's not often that someone gets to voice their opinions directly to the person that matters, and i'm sure the other side would have done the same thing, if given the opportunity.
2/10/2006 2:36:46 PM
SHOW ME A SPEECH WHERE SOMEONE CALLS BUSH OUT BY NAMEso now people are not allowed to speak on issues that the president might be attached to?MAYBE THE PRESIDENT SHOULD MAKE BETTER DECISIONS ON WHAT TO BE EQUATED WITH
2/10/2006 2:38:41 PM
^ You're retarded if you don't think their speeches were written knowing the pres. was going to be there. If you were going to be giving a speech where the president was going to be, you'd also be retarded not to take that opportunity to address at least some things to him.[Edited on February 10, 2006 at 2:45 PM. Reason : (i don't think you're really retarded, just standard Soap Box fare)]

the wellstone memorial was THE EXACT SAME THING.a man of principle with deep feelings had a memorial service dedicated to him wherein those things were discussed, just as I'm sure he would have wanted. If you really think that no conservative activist has had conservatives speak about him at a funeral, well, I just can't imagine how you would assume that without checking on itfred phelps planned to protest king's funeralhttp://www.keithboykin.com/arch/001806.html
2/10/2006 3:02:44 PM
hey...guess what....that guy is some lunatic whacko conservative who does not speak for anyone.....and guess what...no i dont condone that sort of thing...see your mistake is thinking that im against this jsut cause it was the bashing of a repub president....well let me just say...this dude you are talking about is an idiot...why dont you man up and call the rev. at the king funeral one too?? or do you condone it cause he was a liberal??this "research" that you did aside....the King funeral was a disgusting display by mainstream liberals as evidenced by the mainstream liberal support for it....(show me the mainstream support for the subjext of your "research" on wikipedia") ....you had to find some random insane conservative that no one even knows about to make your "point"...and yes i now the wellstone memorial was the exact same thing. it was just as perverse as the King funeral...and it was still as highly praised by libs
2/10/2006 3:10:32 PM
2/10/2006 3:12:54 PM
oh thats right..i remember when they showed up at his funeral and protested and called him a communist hippy faggot....oh wait.....
2/10/2006 3:16:14 PM
so are you just angry because they were discussing politics at a funeral?
2/10/2006 3:18:26 PM
^^ Isn't that what you call "liberals" who oppose the war? Sounds like something right up your alley...[Edited on February 10, 2006 at 3:20 PM. Reason : ]

i dont have a problem talking politics at a funeral...as long as they are done in rememberence of that person...and as long as its done in order to respect that personmy problem with things like the King funeral and the Wellstone Memorial is that dems turn them into chances to whore out the soul of a dead person to further some cause...even if it is the cause the person believed in....i think its disgusting that this rev. in atlanta or wherever would use use his speach...at king's funeral...to take pot shots at the prezhe knows this thing is on tv..he knows everyone is watching..he knows whatever he says will get lots of press...and all he did was rip on the president....thats what i have a problem with
2/10/2006 3:24:08 PM
2/10/2006 3:25:51 PM
thats not even close to the king funeral and you know it
2/10/2006 3:27:01 PM
2/10/2006 3:27:07 PM
imagine if the NRA had waltzed up into the funerals of those 15 dead kids and protested...and thats what we have at the King funeralher death WAS whored out...when they stood over her dead body and used it as thier own personal chance...for everyone to see....to bash the prez...
2/10/2006 3:28:49 PM
2/10/2006 3:38:06 PM
whatever....you got anything else to say??
2/10/2006 3:41:18 PM
What were they protesting that she wasn't for? I'm not a rocket scientist, but I'm sure kids weren't for getting shot.If you're going to go down the road of people looking like garbage for protesting, then look at conservative churches that have protested at military funerals.
