or 1" thickness. I've been looking on McMaster.com but everything I'm finding cost too much money (in $100-$200+).I want to build a router table. The type of plastic I'm looking for would be like the plastic material used in some bathroom stalls or almost like Corian countertops.

I built a screen for my subs out of 1/2" plexi that I managed to score from the IE shop. Darryl said it was too small for them to do anything with so I grabbed it and used it. Wish I still had a pic of that setup, it was tight. Scrager bought it off me but I think he took out the "screen".

why why why? if you want a smooth surface finish, just buy melanin particle board.

^I was going to do that at first, but the plastic would have looked so sweet. Melamine particle board it is then. How about where can I find some thicker than 3/4"

it's a fucking router table. who cares how it looksi think i still have that piece of plexi. it's not 18x18 and i doubt it's 3/4" thick either.

why in God's name do you need it 3/4" thick?Just get some cheap OSB, plop that down, then put a sheet of melamine on top of it. Although I still don't quite understand why you want a smooth top surface? All it's going to do is dull your bits faster. The BEST bet is to get two sheets of 1/2" MDF. Drill one to your rails and level it out, get it very well secured. Then put the second sheet down and hold it down with 6-8 screws. You will replace the second sheet every month or two if you use the table much at all. (this is all assuming you are making a cnc router table, if this is just a table top for a mounted hand router, nevermind and go with the melamine)

Just take that to a glass-making company, and they'll get you some.
