Is anyone on here competing this year? Some of the material has been updated, so I assume it's on again for this April. Anyone have any big plans? I WANT to produce one, but just can't find the time this semester. I should have majored in Film, but that's the way it goes...http://www.ncsu.edu/cinema/pinwheel/

You need to find a 24 hour film festivel. There is a big one in Wilmington, I don't know if they have anything like that around here. You have to make a complete movie in a day. They give you a few rules like "You must say the word pumpkin three times" and "you must include toilet paper." Its a blast, and doesn't take up much time.

THAT sounds pretty cool... I can't imagine filming AND completing all the post production in 24 hours, though, haha. Do they have places for computers to be set up or are you just supposed to have a laptop? Maybe it just depends on the particular festival? Have you ever competed in such a festival or do you just like to watch the results?

New Applications and such should be up within the next week -- but I think all the requirements are still going to be the same. If you haven't been to Pinwheel, its a fun event. Definitely leaning on the side of celebration of film, rather than competition of film.

You are supposed to do the majority of it right on the camera. We did a silent movie so we were allowed to dub music in and do subtitles. It was awesome. Some of the films that came out of it were amazing. They usually do it twice a year.Heres a link if you want to look at it. It is such a blast to do.http://www.onetakefestival.com/main.php
