old as hell, regardless of whether you can find it on here or notthe corvette engine builders i know pretty much put them thru a heat cycle or two then throw them on the dyno to tune...break in is over rated

didn't read it, but yeah, there's a widely held school of thought that a hard break-in will ultimately yield more power

i ran my car hard when i first got it. good stuff.still uses less than quart of m1 between changes at 10k. i guess it's b.c of the high-rpm driving and not a maint. prob.
