http://www.nba.com/nuggets/news/hodge_dleague_020706.htmlbummer, but at least he might get to play more than 12 seconds a game
2/7/2006 10:09:17 PM
that's too bad, but the nuggets suck like the chargers...nc state not going to favorable teams
2/7/2006 10:14:10 PM
damn homie, at state he was the man homie
2/7/2006 10:22:22 PM
grundy is 2nd in the league in scoring average (to will bynum)
2/7/2006 10:26:39 PM
HODGE AND GRUNDY TOGETHER AGAIN.This is sad. Hope he didn't blow all that money!
2/7/2006 10:34:26 PM
hate to say I told ya so....
2/7/2006 10:39:10 PM
stfu fag
2/7/2006 10:52:07 PM
He has plenty of time to make it in the big show.
2/7/2006 10:53:11 PM
It's not as if teams stop paying their players when they are assigned to the NBDL.This was inevitable, as the Nuggets have 6.02 x 10^23 SGs/swingmen on their roster, and his summer surgery didn't help earn PT.
2/7/2006 11:04:21 PM
2/7/2006 11:05:36 PM
Why do people act like going to a development league in basketball is a career death wish, when it's par for the course in baseball and hockey?
2/7/2006 11:10:58 PM
People who normally are sent there never make it out!
2/7/2006 11:12:21 PM
but there are several that have, so its not the end of the world. if he shines, he'll make it out.
2/7/2006 11:14:09 PM
"make it out"damn, i think you guys are all wrong, he is a first round pick, he does not have to "make it out", he is "out" they are just sending him down to actually get some playing time, he will be on the roster next yearnobody has any problem with Ladd going back and forth for the Canes, they are just trying to get the kid reps and shiftssame situation here, but damn, you people ask as if he is an unsigned free agent trying to scrap it out a la Josh Powell for a roster spot
2/7/2006 11:26:18 PM
he obviously has a leg up on most people in the nbadl because he was the 20th draft pick. but the difference here between the ladd/cane situation is that i believe nba teams are only allowed to demote a player to the developmental league twice and thats it. its not quite as free as hockey. you cant just move someone down for a week here and there. the situation can end up being a lot more permanent than hockey.but you're right, "make it out" wasnt the best phrase because he's not really as "in" as a lot of those guys, like grundy.
2/7/2006 11:34:51 PM
pretty sure hodge signed a three year deal worth right around 3 mil, is this correct?
2/7/2006 11:36:32 PM
yo it's all gooddude is still making bank and for real, that's all that really matters in the NBA
2/7/2006 11:38:34 PM
What the hell kind of development league is it if you can only move someone down twice?BTW, the new NHL regulations require any player with more than three years of NHL experience (and some other criteria sets as well) to be waived on the way down and the way back up to the AHL/ECHL.
2/7/2006 11:48:25 PM
twas just a matter of time
2/7/2006 11:54:34 PM
and everyone said that shavlik couldn't play in the pro's
2/8/2006 12:52:33 AM
hodge actually asked to be sentdown to get some pt a couple of weeks ago, but the team did not oblige. now they finally did,big deal, he will be back in the league before you know it
2/8/2006 3:40:59 AM
Shav is almost kinda like Duke's Willie Parker
2/8/2006 10:04:39 AM
Could be worse... could be EA Sports All-Stars... I wonder how much they make anyway.
