you really won't find too many all-purpose intermediate-to-advanced books on php/mysql. there's tons of books for learning the basics - syntax, common functions, etc. but once you learn that it's pretty much it. there are very few intermediate difficulty concepts in php so they are usually just covered at the end of the basics books. you're really on your own at that point. if you have a specific subject, like ecommerce apps, authentication, etc you can find plenty of good resources on those. otherwise, just use the manual and search google for specific problem implementations.

http://www.php.netIts intro/intermediate/advanced depending on your competence level and understanding.Off course, if you don't know that this is one of the best resources available then you aren't really "intermediate."
