Man, is every sport completely corrupt or what. Can I please see a fair game? What a joke. I've never ever seen a worse officiated game. If that wasn't fixed, then there has never been a fixed game in the history of America. I am ashamed to be a football fan and an American after watching this Super Bowl. Downright disgusting. Refs should literally have their asses kicked.

wtf are you talking about
2/5/2006 10:22:21 PM
The call on Locklear was bad, and they missed a few penalties on Pittsburgh, but the big calls were right.Rothlisburger probably crossed the plane, and there is no way they could overturn it based on the replayDarrell Jackson clearly pushed off on the TD called back in the 1stThey made the right call in reversing the fumble on Hasslebeckso in summation, STFU

yea what the hell are you talking about? this game was no better or worse officiated than the average game(but it SHOULD have been Edward Hochuli officiating, he is the best)[Edited on February 5, 2006 at 10:23 PM. Reason : i]

what a whiney little bitch. you are probably one of those people that think every single ref "has it out" for NCSU

^^i think we were talking about the TD he ran in chief[Edited on February 5, 2006 at 10:43 PM. Reason : ^]
2/5/2006 10:43:46 PM
haha that was a fuckin td get over it, a piece of that ball definitely crosses the line of that endzone before he was bounced back out
2/5/2006 10:45:53 PM
ahwell in that casethe ball clearly passed 2 mm over the invisible vertical touchdown plane that extends forever around the world
2/5/2006 10:46:09 PM
one of the only bad calls i remember was hasselbeck's "block below the waist"
2/5/2006 10:47:28 PM
There were a couple of questionable little calls, but the big stuff they got right. I'd go so far as to call this a well-officiated game. And yes, it would have been better with Hochuli. Of course.
2/5/2006 10:48:01 PM
First of all, don't tell me to shut the fuck up or call me a bitch. Several calls and no-calls in this game. Pass int. calls back a TD. Holding on every return. H-beck called for 15-yarder. Holding on the play that would have put it down on the 1. Ward pushed off to get a key first down. Pitt called for 3 penalties. 2 false starts and the int. on a screen pass. How about 3rd and 6 late? Delay of game, but they give Pitt the timeout. They call the fumble when H-beck is down. The list goes on. Don't be so naive. The fix was on. Those refs were paid off. I'm sorry, worst officiated game in the NFL in a long time. Fuck y'all calling me a bitch. Watch the game with a little knowledge of football.

just because the play clock says 0 doesn't mean it's 0
2/5/2006 11:09:35 PM
cough moron cough
2/5/2006 11:12:39 PM
uh seattle pushed off a bunch you just saw it called once so you think they only pushed off once.
2/5/2006 11:17:34 PM
"just because the play clock says 0 doesn't mean it's 0"I guess that was a joke. This game sure was. But anytime you feel there are bad calls, several bad calls, then your whining. You can't win a game if the refs don't want you to. Its all but impossible. One day you will step into the real world.

^^no you obviously missed when madden said that, explaining that the ref has to look at the clock say zero, then look back at the ball to make sure it hasnt been snapped, resulting a lapse between when clock says zero, and the penalty is calledso i can imagine you missing a few push offs and other things[Edited on February 5, 2006 at 11:21 PM. 2/5/2006 11:20:36 PM
the refs ran the 75 yard td run and threw the pass to ward for a td too right?

if a defender did the same thing, those two commentators would say, "pass interference, no doubt about it."and if steve smith did that and got away with it, I would feel guilty because I would think it should have been interference.
2/6/2006 12:14:35 AM
there were definitely some phantom flags thrown
2/6/2006 12:14:41 AM
varsityblues sounds like a little bitch to me. Go Steelers!!!! World Champs Baby!!!!!!!!
2/6/2006 12:15:57 AM
Damn right GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quit whining about your northwest bitches losing the super bowl, and the classless Mike Holmgren not shakin Cowhers hand at the end of the game
2/6/2006 12:18:36 AM
I didn't care who won the game (more towards steelers for Bill and Bettis though) and I thought the officiating was definitely slanted. Seatlle just seem to be getting the short end of the stick. Nothing that they shouldn't have been able to overcome but still some generosity going Pitt's way.
2/6/2006 12:35:22 AM
The PI on Jackson in the endzone should never have been called. It was more of a stiff-arm than a blatant pushoff and if you're going to call something like that, you should have called Illegal Contact on the DB well before the PI.But Seattle still should have been able to overcome all of it.
2/6/2006 12:43:52 AM
that PI call was the right call
2/6/2006 12:44:55 AM
no stiff arm/push off=defender has the chance to make a play.stiff arm/push off=defender has no chance to make a play.I don't even see how it is debatable.
2/6/2006 12:50:03 AM
If it wasnt called, nobody would have noticed. Definately a foul though, but you just dont expect them to call it when he probably didnt give himself that much of an advantage.
2/6/2006 12:51:54 AM
he could have made the touchdown without pushing off because of where the ball was throwhe had already beaten the defenderpushing off was stupid and pointlessbut b/c he did, he got called for itas he should have
2/6/2006 12:52:03 AM
sounds like a seahawks fan pissing and moaningwe should create a whole new section of TWW message boards called...*drum roll*Sports Officiatingbut then Sports Talk would be so bare..

The Steelers/Colts game was about a million times worse than this one.At least in this one it was questionable calls going in favor of Pittsburgh, as opposed to completely wrong calls going in favor of Indy.
2/6/2006 1:25:58 AM
2/6/2006 1:39:15 AM
we all know this is the NFL's peace offering to the steelers after they tried to fuck them against the coltsand the steelers/colts game was the worst officiating i have seen this season
