punk doesn't suck now, either. alot of bands who used to be good make music straight for mtv now, and alot of bands call themselves punk bands but are nothing of the kind, but there are plenty of good bands out there.

okay those bands are definetly NOT emo

all of those bands draw their influences from the genre that used to be considered punk (bad religion, nofx, etc.) not good charlotte and fall out boy who might considered themselves punk nowadays.

I guess I couldve said post-punk rock or something in the title instead of just punk.

doesnt matter, I've seen ASG a few times before, and just found out about The Hottness and Thunderlip, so this concert looks like it will kick ass

Not really bands calling themselves punk and emo, just uninformed people who think anything not appearing in an AE ad or on top 40 radio is "punk" or "emo."
