anyone know what pKa values we're supposed to use for the end amino & carboxyl groups when we're trying to figure the overall charge of a peptide?

The Creighton book lists the pKas as 3.9 and 7.4 for the ends but from BCH 451 we used 2.2 and 9.5.
The 3.9 and 7.4 appear to be for aa residues.

i say 3.9 and 7.4, and make sure shes sees that you used those when you answer the problem

ok, so on the practice exam/review sheet thing she posted, #10-where she discusses how to get the amino acids that don't have Y peaks (using the B peaks) is confusing the absolute hell out of me
