but at what cost?remember when we lead the NATION in scoring defense after about 10 games of the season. now we're 2nd to last in the conference for scoring defensedon't get me wrong, I love getting 80+ every game, but there's also a lot to be said about keeping your opponents in the 60s

Theres also something to be said about a 16-4 season.

oh, i'm not knocking Herb at all homiemy names have supported him since we joined TWW, but I just don't want the true bread n butter of the team -- defense -- to be forgotten just so we can impress recruits and hold off angry donors by running a fast-paced offense

Yeah.......gotta go with Zin on this one.

I posted that in the other thread about comparing last year and this year. That was for all the Herb haters, and ironically after I posted that, nobody replied.

Whatever it takes to win. Lots of offense and lots of defense would be great.

Points per game and points allowed per game are meaningless.Points per possession and points allowed per possession are the only two stats that matter.Carolina gave up a lot of points last year and they won the National Championship.

doing more on offense takes away from defense and vice versai like to score more points than the other team and we are doing a pretty good job of that so far this season with the exception of the duke, unc, iowa, and seton hall games[Edited on February 1, 2006 at 1:14 PM. Reason : ]
