why would you be going to look at a time of day when a well lit place would be needed?

Some people work until 5 or 6 PM, and at this time of year, you're 'bout out of daylight after that.

How about a restaurant that has outdoor seating, like cook-out or char-grill? They're usually well-lit. Could be crowded though.

Don't look at a car at night.
Take a long lunch break or something.

You are asking for trouble if you inspect a car not in daylight.

yeah, its a bad idea if you are the buyer. i was the seller though, and they didnt want to wait till the next day.
