God damn I made a cheaper rig than that, but it's pretty good advice none the less for p.c builders.

After reading your guide, you're a cocky sonofabitch to think that your guide is somehow superior overall to Ars' guide.

His is pretty good, outside of that msi AMD board. I was just trolling

^^What the fuck? How the hell did you come to the conclusion that I am cocky sob from a SYNOPSIS of the 5 most respected hardware review sites on the net? Those recommendations are not MY personal opinion, they are gathered opinions of anandtech, tomshardware, hardocp, techreport, ars and others. If I happen to have personal experience with one of the items then of course I am going to be that much MORE in support of it.I made the page because I had dozens of people constantly asking me for specific component advice for their needs and budgets. They all thought the "build" articles were lacking, as they still are. So you can THINK whatever the fuck you want, but many people have appreciated the work I put into that page (granted it's EXTREMELY out of date now) to help them out, FOR NOTHING. I make no money, I no longer build systems. This is because I enjoy helping people. So go back to your fucking corner and play some more Counterstrike you fucking gonzo.^Yea, I need to just pull that completely. Fucking MSI dropping the ball . Now I'm gonna have to update this shit, it's bothering my that it's this old.[Edited on January 31, 2006 at 11:17 PM. Reason : .]

If you had the fucking sense to read the post date, you would have seen that to begin with. How that makes a cocky sob is still beyond me. Please do explain mr 1CYPHER, since you are 99 years old and all. So cool.

To each his own.To me, anything over 1k on a computer to play games is retarded.[Edited on February 1, 2006 at 12:07 AM. Reason : .]

funny thing is, to play the ONE game I want for the xbox 360, I've dropped nearly 700 bucks. And I get a lot more use out of my computer.

Honest question: what do you have against Intellimice?Second honest question: what do you have against 5.1 speaker systems for computers?

No way I am spending money on a 360 right now. I play WAY too many games.xp 2100gig PC2100ati 9500 Pro (not OC)Audigy80 gig 5400 2 meg cache19" 1997 monitor that bows out the front like an inch hahaYes, I know, everyone is jealous.Funny thing is that I always right at the top in any fps online i play, including BF2. I think part of the reason is that since I run at the very lowest settings it is just easier to see other players without all the shadows, foliage, etc.

Meh, the Noen haters are just cocky themselves. He knows his shit wether you like it or not or if you agree with him or not. He reccomended a top-of-the-line LCD to me that I'd of never heard of (the brand) if it wasnt for him. 4 years later and it's still the most shit hot monitor I've seen...Granted the refresh (25ms) no longer keeps up with today's LCDs, but the LOOK of this one is just that impressive, and the quality of the picture is amazing. No dead pixels or anything. So-- it's my opinion that his opinions are well-researched and based. You don't have to be a dick if you don't agree with someone, though, just add your own opinion and justify it.

^You have obviosly never used an early s939 MSI athlon 64 boardI understand, you're an alright guy. You just dont know and got good advice before.
2/2/2006 6:44:08 PM
And I fully own up to that mistake. I'd be glad for ANYONE to help me with this (Quinn), but seeing as no one has ever offered to help or given constructive criticism (read: review backed alternatives), I stick with what I can find.Stein: Thanks for telling me you fucker
2/2/2006 7:38:37 PM
nah it was highly regarded as a good board by reviewers online, im wondering how much that little pr "push" cost MSIyou have a good list , ive just seen that beast in person
2/2/2006 8:12:39 PM
^yea, I liked it a lot too. Never had a problem with the two boards I installed, but there were soo many horror stories that popped up down the road.
