ouch, maybe you should upgrade your desktop then, this comp is 1 1/2 years old, not built yesterday. I have another one that was. It is a lower end rig, but will run anything nicely. I would hope your laptop has more space than this since hard drives are soo cheap now days. So congratulations.

[Edited on January 30, 2006 at 12:58 PM. Reason : if "forever" > 1.5 yrs then "similar comp" << this comp]

I for one, never understood the need to have hundreds of gigabytes on a gaming rig.

I mean just how many fucking games are you going to put on it? I've got only 80 gigs in mine and its more than plenty for the games I have on it.

Then again, I'M NOT A SOFTWARE STEALING PIRATE.

"gaming rig" usually also gets used as a gamer's day-to-day PC...

IM JUST SAYING...when i hear gaming rig i expect something fast by todays standards. otherwise you might as well just call it a decent old computer.

if you use the word "rig" to refer to a computer, I don't like you

I guess I don't need as many gigs as the average college student bandwidth whore.

i dont either, but it is nice to have the extra and a 30gb drive dates a computer heavily. i mean even 2 years ago that was semi-small.

^^ hehe, my two year old 600 dollar dell had an 80 gig drive even, but he admitted the harddrive was small even for that age, and new 160 gb drives aren't really that much.

I'm still using the 80gig and 160gig that used to be in it, that is why it is small. Get over it.
