3/11/2006 12:00:07 PM
decent show tonightthe first band was easily one of the worst bands i have ever seen in my life, i seriously hope that was some sort of jokeislands fucking killed.metric was ok. i wasnt too big on the set list and their whole set seemed rush, still a good show though
3/13/2006 1:39:31 AM
^yeah, I was telling my buddy that same thing about the first band. somehow that singer had me so angry from just looking at him.when they fell down after that one song, I was really hoping they were dead or the stage dropped out or something[Edited on March 13, 2006 at 9:11 AM. Reason : .]
3/13/2006 9:11:10 AM
i think that first band played into every single bad band sterotype imaginable
3/13/2006 11:44:38 AM
saw metric this past wednesday here in madisonthe first opening band was From Fiction, who i guess could be classified as post-hardcore...they were decent. the second opening band was The Elected, which is blake sennet from rilo kiley's side band. i wanted to like them, but they were pretty lamemetric was just alright i thought...i just feel like emily haine's talents could be better appreciated if her supporting band wasnt a bunch of jokers
4/16/2006 1:44:17 AM
I feel her talents could be better appreciated if she didn't look like she was in a K hole.
4/16/2006 1:47:44 AM
I thought about grabbing her off stage and taking her home with me, but i feared all the 17 year old girls would come running after me
4/16/2006 1:50:00 AM
Seventeen? Sounds like you did a damn sight better than Chapel Hill. That shit was straight-up middle school.
4/16/2006 1:51:43 AM
it was a late show on a weeknight...i guess i lucked outat least it was better than "The Gossip" show I saw the week before
4/16/2006 1:53:17 AM
I used to go to a lot of dyke rock shows. It was...interesting? I guess?
4/16/2006 1:54:23 AM
looking ahead to dianogah next weekend and the wrens the weekend aftershould avoid the dykes on those two
4/16/2006 1:56:32 AM
Yeah. It's weird to go to a show where the girls won't fuck me for an entirely different reason.I've been to six or eight shows in the past month, after going to hardly anything for about a year. Next few weeks looks like a dry spell, though....I'll be hurting for teh rock later this month.

What really depresses meand this is my last post before collapsing in bedbut what depresses me is that now the BANDS are younger than I am.
4/16/2006 3:57:14 AM
it really depressed me how much the young crowd at the show loved that opening band. they were easily one of the worst bands i have ever seen or heard, period.
4/16/2006 3:59:31 AM
what was this opening band you speak of
4/16/2006 10:15:38 AM
im kinda getting sick of all this shitty indie rock with overly annoying singers.
4/16/2006 10:19:23 AM
this band makes we wanna kill babies
4/16/2006 10:37:35 AM
^^^ this god awful band by the name of men, women, and children[Edited on April 16, 2006 at 11:17 AM. Reason : sethgjrstuwr5u]
4/16/2006 11:16:52 AM
Hhahahahahaha they were TERRIBLE.
4/16/2006 11:19:30 AM
easily the worst opening band i have ever seen. the girl i was with turned to me at least 10 times during their set and was like "is this some sort of a cruel joke?". and the saddest part is that all the young teens in there loved it[Edited on April 16, 2006 at 11:29 AM. Reason : rthyraer]
4/16/2006 11:29:28 AM
shoulda hit it
4/16/2006 11:32:04 AM
Oh, I've seen plenty worse.I mean, if nothing else, they could play their shit. And they weren't physically painful.
4/16/2006 12:16:21 PM
4/16/2006 8:53:56 PM
4/16/2006 10:15:28 PM
That's German for "the hipster".
4/16/2006 10:17:19 PM
hahahaha shit i was going to say that.
4/16/2006 10:22:55 PM
AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, we just got FIFA World Cup 06 for 360 and there is a Men, Women, and Children song in it, i almost shit myself when i heard it. they go from being one of the worst opening bands i have ever seen to having their song in a game that is released world wide, all in one months time
