semi-related question: do you think apple/itunes will ever come out with a monthly subscription service like rhapsody and yahoo?

no, none of those other subscription services works with IPODS, and as long as jobs has his hands on 80% of the portable player market, and can charge people for every single song they have on their ipods then (legally) then there is no point in doing that imo.

suggestions for Linux use? I'm using Rhythmbox but it won't let me change the ID3 tags on mp3's which is annoying. Also, I have a lot of MP3's with slight variations in the artist or album names so they get recognized as different artists or albums. In WMP I could drag one artist name and drop it on another and it would update all the files to whatever I dropped them on. Something like that would be helpful.
