A moving exploration of the individual experiences of nine women as told through nine single unbroken takes. The film is told in a sequence of 9 total shots, each about 10-12 minutes long. The cast includes Glenn Close, Dakota Fanning, Holly Hunter, Joe Mantegna, Ian McShane, Molly Parker, Aidan Quinn, Sissy Spacek, and Robin Wright Penn, among others.

The writer/directer, Rodrigo Garcia, is the son of the Pulitzer prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He's directed about five or six episodes of both Carnivale and Six Feet Under
