That Ted Kennedy has absolutely no ground to stand on when criticizing another man's character. I fucking hate Ted Kennedy

How can a guy be evil with a face like that?

I loved how every person speaking yesterday was respectful and in high spirits until Kennedy started his vitriolic twenty minute lecture, and he's the one talking about "progress" and "what we want America to be like."

Politicians are such hypocrites. They force hard working Americans to bankroll their pet projects, and want Americans to give up their gas-burning vehicles to "better the environment", and then they leave Capitol Hill in their huge SUV's, go back to their huge homes, and count their money as they horde it. If I ever run for political office, I plan to refuse anything above my required living expenses. I don't want politics to be where I earn my fortune like so many do today. I want to be firmly established on my own before I make my run, and I intend to give my paychecks back to the people. Government used to be voluntary and done without pay. I believe it should go back to being that way.

I'll probably never run, but I just hate the way things are right now on both sides. I am so close to being libertarian it's not even funny. I think that government shouldn't get so involved in our lives. I hate how many government programs are out there to keep people dependent. "Work harder. Millions on welfare depend on you." used to be right. Now it's more like"Work harder. Tens of millions of government dependents are depending on that money you're working to earn."

Someone may not have ground to stand on due to total hypocrisy (sp?)...but that doesn't supercede his duty to perform his job as an elected representative, and at the moment his job is to criticize a nominee for the Supreme Court, and since that's a lifetime appointment I'd say he has every right to be critical no matter what he's done in the past.
