Just curious who has decent quality tuxes and dependable service. All I ever remeber was who had the cheapest deals for formals and crap.

I used Savvi Formalwear when I got married. I liked them becuase the had everything (all sizes, styles) that could be rented stored in the back of the store. That way, if something was missing or didn't fit two days before the wedding we didn't have to wait for it to be shipped from their storage center in Whoknowswhere, NC.

shop around and just buy one. by the time you rent a few times, it's cheaper just to buy (and a lot easier).

Usually for weddings, the groom's tux rental is free.

For my wedding I used After hours. They have locations all over the country, so if you have any groomsmen that are not local, this makes it easy for them to get their measurements in.

I'll definitely have to check out After Hours then, a couple of my groomsmen are from out of state.

agree. wish we had done that... in the past two years, my husband has rented 3 times... he could have bought one for that.

What else would a tux be used for?

I was a groomsman in a wedding back in August. We all got our tuxes from After Hours. They had a deal where if all the party got their tux from them, then the groom got his tux free.
You should check into it.

Savvi has the same deal, where the groom's is free and the ringbearer's is discounted if you rent at least 4 or 5 (can't remember which) tuxes from them. I'm not sure how widespread they are in other states, but won't your groomsmen be coming in for the wedding at least a couple days before hand? One of my best friends rented from After Hours at Cary Towne Center for his wedding which was a year before mine. His coat didn't fit when he went to pick it up, and he had to drive to Chapel Hill to pick one up that did fit, two days before his wedding. This is why I chose not to do business with them for my wedding. I was one of his groomsmen and I was also swimming in my coat. My shoulders are disproportionately wide for the rest of my body (at the time I was lifting weights a lot) and to get the coat to fit my shoulders the stomach area was WAY too big. Savvi has coats that are tapered for more athletic builds, which is uncommon for rental tuxes, so their rental tuxes fit me better. All of these reasons led me to choose Savvi. Your experiences with After Hours may be different, I'm just telling you mine. Choose whichever you want. Good Luck and congratulations!
