Anyone with any amount of common sense just ignores this sort of list. I remember reading a report about top employers in NC a while back. The number 2 spot went to Kimley-Horn (the sweatshop of triangle design/engineering firms). Most of them were places that provide all sorts of employee extras on paper, but have a stuffy office culture.

^ points still valid.

Your point is still invalid. The median represents the typical salary better than the average.Let's review credentials too. You: A guy that thinks the 50th percentile is a function of the higher percentiles.Me: Statistics Club President.

This is mostly a "wishful thinking" type thread.I wish I was making $131,580 per year.
1/11/2006 9:15:32 AM
Bunch of morons. Don't you think average annual salaries would be for someone who's worked an average amount of years to retirement? So which one of you fuckers has slaved for 20 years at any one of these places?
1/12/2006 12:03:21 AM
no i think you should use the average age of the employees at that company - but use whichever method you think is appropriate smart j0e
