the problem with this "one game" is that "one game" turn into every road game with some meaning. Herb can't win a big game against a ranked program on the road. ever. its the same "one game" every time. And i think i have found the reason. the players take on the attitude and demeanor of their coach. why are the football players cocky? - because chuck is cocky. Why do her's players always seem not to care? - because herb doesn't care. I have heard herb say its not about wins and losses, but about growth as people. this is bull crap. we pay the man to WIN GAMES. along the same lines, evtimov said in an interview last week that the carolina game was not a big rivalry for the players like for the fans, that it was just another game. UNC didn't play like it. And Roy didn't think that. His players came out fired up knowing it was a big game. Our guys didn't seem to care. ITS COACHING

...for chuck....if you could go 11-1 with the one loss to UNC, or go 1-11, but beat UNC, which would you chose?

...for herb...if you could go 14-2 in the league, with two losses to UNC, or 2-14 in the league, with both wins against UNC, which would you chose

If the answer is (A) for either coach, they should be fired



now I know that seems a bit ridiculous, but I'm not so sure our fan base would be mad...I'm just really sick of hearing bullshit from those faggots....i mean for the love of god...beat them at least once in a while. As much as I hate to say it...I think we're gonna have to get used to losing to UNC. Herb's a good coach, and he's doing really well with the team this year...but he's no Roy Williams.

I didn't read the thread. But anyone blaming Herb on this one is dumb. Our guys didn't ever wipe the sleep out of their eyes. Just went through the motions. This is one area where we hurt missing Jules, he'd probably have been able to get the guys motivated. No one took the initiative and we'll pay down the stretch because no one is going to.

That said, I thought the ref's let UNC get away with some really aggressive defense and kept us out of sync all night. This was the biggest functional contributor to losing that game.

Why are your panties waded folks, take UNC's second best game of the season versus our second worst, and we were tied with 2 minutes to go...I don't see the need to be all up in arms about this.
