right now i have the motarola v220(POS) and i'm up for an upgrade. i want a nice phone that works well, can play mp3 ring tones, etc. could care less about a camera. i can get a refurbished blackberry 7100g for half of what i can get the razr for. so i'm wondering would this be a good phone if i don't plan get a data package? i don't need the pda features i just think it's a cool ass phone, and want to know what features i'd be able use w/o getting the 44$/mon data package?

also since my plan is done with cingular would renewing my plan through a cingular authrized dealer be the same as getting a new 1 with them?i.e. amazon or wirefly?
