volvo powR

white car hits tree, tree falls across road, car heading in other direction impacts top of tree, stops car immediately, energy transferred upwards. I'm suprised that the base of the tree held the impact, and the car/treetop didn't fall one way or the other.

you realize that's a utility pole and not a tree, right?

My guess would be that the pole and the lines were already down when the blue carlost control, then skidded across the lines at street level, then rode the lines up to thetop of the pole where it caught and stopped. If you look at the bottom pic, you can see the line continue down to street level. There's just not enough damage to the car for it to have launched completely in the air.Notice also, that the guy is still in the car, probably sitting in a pile of his own poowaiting for the utilities to make sure the lines aren't hot.

i'd still drive that volve it looks straight.

Yeah, that's a nice Volvo, S70 T5 or R?And that is an extremely bizarre position for it to have ended up in. The damage does look surprisingly minimal, assuming the frame didn't get bent going into that odd attitude.

That volvo does have the R wheels, but hard to tell from these pictures if it also has the proper bumpers, etc. At the least, it's probably a T-5.Ahmet
