so i got a wireless router and i found that there are other people in my building who have wireless routers and something is interferring with mine. i figure if i secure my network, i guess it can't happen

can someone give me the steps as to how to do so. thanks

u have to secure it within ur router's settings. what brand and model router do u have?

what do you mean interfering?

if there really is interference, then this isn't a matter of security. Interference would be caused by some other electromagnetic signal at 2.4Ghz, such as cordless phones, or microwaves.

other routers can also interfere, but you can mitigate that by trying different channels on the router. that's in your settings somewhere, depending on the model of router you have.
