Specifically shopping the "not so recent" models, right now I am looking at a Tungsten T3 or a IIIxe. Basically I will be using it for one primary thing, streaming data from a vehicles computer via a certian program: http://www.ls1m.comAny advice?

The T3 is pretty expensive for that. I used a palm III for pocketlogger and similar software. If color isn't needed, I wouldn't pay the premium for it. The nice thing about the cheaper palms is that they use regular batteries and you don't have to have a dock or special cable to recharge them.http://www.ubid.com/ACTN/OPN/GETPAGE.ASP?AUCTIONID=800531863&UWB=UWB10397[Edited on January 3, 2006 at 9:43 PM. check out http://www.moates.net craig can probably hook you up with something that does the same thing for a lot less. If you can find someone with the software and plan on using it on obd1, the plans for the cable are all over the place

i believe the Palm Pilot came out in 1997, since then, no other PDA has been named the 'Palm Pilot'while you're at it, refer to your computer as your 'CPU'
