Is there a math formula to reduce a number by percentage over and over, like100-50%-40%-30% to give a total reduction rate of x%thanks

what?like 100*0.5*0.3*0.4*0.3?

not exactly, 100 - 50% = 50 , 50 - 40% = 30, 30 - 30% = 21% therefore total reduction = 79%i'm saying you cant' just add 50+40+30 and i was hoping there was a way to say something likeXn+Xn+1 + Xn+2 / 3 = Rate of Reduction

umm...just do (1-n1)*(1-n2)*(1-n3)... where the ns are your percentages. This is algebra 1 (maybe 2) level of stuff...Reducing something by 30% is taking 70% OF it.
