My company will be developing a new high end website and we are currently shopping it around to see who could offer us the best designed site.

Is there anyone you guys would suggest?

We want somoene that will build our site from scratch. There will be a lot of detail to it so its a decent size job.

NCSU College of Design.

You can charge a Graphic Design Senior half the price if not less of a major company. And they will bust there ass for it to put it in their portfolio and resume.

Are you looking strictly for somebody to do the design?
What about the backend/technical aspects?
What about information/content management?

List goes on ... also consider support options, cost, etc. etc. Kinda hard to classify a "best" for anything...

Yes it would help greatly to know what your business is, but see my suggestions in your tech talk thread.

and it's a terrible idea to hire someone fresh out of CoD, because while they do know design, 99% of them don't have a fucking clue about web development.
