the last time i met up with my psychology advisor she told me they were getting rid of the restricted electives and making them free electives. i would really like to know if and when this is happening so i can plan my classes accordingly. i realized i've been so screwed the past couple years because of shitty advisors

Even if they are changing from restricted-->free electives, it most likely will not affect you. It will only affect new students under a new degree key.

^he's correct. But, you could choose to switch to a new degree key when it becomes available. Or, if that is going to be some time down the road, then you should ask Karen Young if you could be allowed to substitute free electives in place of your restricted electives. Often, students in old degree keys are allowed substitutions that embrace the rules of new degree keys. In general, free electives will help more students as they have greater flexibility than restricted electives. Still, the PSY curriculum is a fairly open one. I cannot see records today, but if you would like me to look at your degree audit, just PM your full name.[Edited on January 2, 2006 at 11:29 AM. Reason : edit]
