or moving it to before ESPN Monday Night Football next season?

NBC has exclusive rights sunday night, so espn can't show highlights till midnite or sometime thereafter. Prime I think might be grouped together with Monday Night countdown.

ESPN (and any other network) can show highlights of games as soon as the broadcast of that game is over with. NFL Primetime will not be cancelled, but if NBC wants to start Sunday Night Football at 8PM, ESPN may not want to compete with a live NFL game and may move it to a later time. Im guessing your question was based on all of the "reminiscing" they were doing...Im guessing that just had to do with a combination of ESPN getting MNF next year, New Years Day, and the end of the regular season.
