and i formated the drive that has one on it.... why is it still asking me if i want to boot that copy or the other ?

The bootloader program still thinks you have 2. I'm not sure what you need to do to fix it. I'm sure google would be a good place to start looking though.

You have to rebuild the MBR or something like that... maybe a real formatting utility would help.
