see if you can find a list of members of the ausa. (Association of the United States Army). I went to the trade show in DC this year, there were lots of robotics companies there, mostly small companies. I was mainly interested in large vehicles, i don't remember any of the robotics companies names.

I did a keyword search for "robotic" on the Career Center's tool, Career Search (which is a massive database of company contact info). There were 290 companies listed... a few were multiple locations for companies like Rockwell, but still a large list.

You can find the login info for Career Search at this site http://www.ncsu.edu/career/students/fullTime/opportunities.htm

This is a great resource for finding companies in a specific location too.

Vortex HC does robotics. They're in Morrisville.

BUT

It was the absolute worst job situation I've ever been in. They guy in charge is a power maniac and yells at his employees. Nothing is ever right. This isn't just my opinion, but the opnion of almost all of his employees. I was there for about 9 months, and left, along with several others.

Bad bad bad bad.

You have been warned.

^^ No, it's basically like a "tornado in a can". It's not a vacuum per se, but does somehow create a low pressure area that creates a suction. They're loud. It's patented, so not just a regular vacuum.

^ electronics != robotics

I am seriously interested in getting a job in robotics. The most interesting company I have found is Foster-Miller. Check out their product called "talon"
