see if you can find a list of members of the ausa. (Association of the United States Army). I went to the trade show in DC this year, there were lots of robotics companies there, mostly small companies. I was mainly interested in large vehicles, i don't remember any of the robotics companies names.

I did a keyword search for "robotic" on the Career Center's tool, Career Search (which is a massive database of company contact info). There were 290 companies listed... a few were multiple locations for companies like Rockwell, but still a large list. You can find the login info for Career Search at this site http://www.ncsu.edu/career/students/fullTime/opportunities.htmThis is a great resource for finding companies in a specific location too.

Vortex HC does robotics. They're in Morrisville.BUTIt was the absolute worst job situation I've ever been in. They guy in charge is a power maniac and yells at his employees. Nothing is ever right. This isn't just my opinion, but the opnion of almost all of his employees. I was there for about 9 months, and left, along with several others.Bad bad bad bad.You have been warned.

^those wall-climbong robots they make, do they use like vaccum pumps to stay on?
12/30/2005 2:10:23 PM
Well, siemans does a bit of electronics. I don't know about robotics garbage. It's like the sas in the dutchland.
12/30/2005 2:20:22 PM
^^ No, it's basically like a "tornado in a can". It's not a vacuum per se, but does somehow create a low pressure area that creates a suction. They're loud. It's patented, so not just a regular vacuum.^ electronics != robotics[Edited on December 30, 2005 at 9:10 PM. Reason : firmbuttgntl needs help]
